City of North Vancouver - Election Worker Application

The City of North Vancouver is seeking reliable, civic minded individuals to serve as Election Workers for the 2026 Municipal Election. Selected applicants will be hired as casual/auxiliary exempt City employees for the election period. Additional information on each position and pay can be found at https://www.cnv.org/ElectionWorkers.

Election Positions, Training and Shifts

Training


Election Workers are required to attend in-person training.

  • In-person training for all Election Workers is scheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

  • In addition, Presiding Election Officials and Alternate Presiding Election Officials are required to attend an additional in-person training session on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

  • Note: if you are not able to attend on the dates below, additional options may be available.
Please provide your availability based on the following:

Advance Voting


- Presiding Election Officials and Alternate Presiding Election Officials are required to work one 3-4 hour Advance Voting Shift, based on the schedule and their availability. 
- Registration Clerks are required to work one 3-4 hour Advance Voting shift based on the schedule and their availability.
- Election Officials may choose to work one 3-4 hour Advance Voting shift, which will be assigned based on the schedule and their availability.

Advance Voting Schedule:

October 7, 2026: 8:00am - 8:00 pm
October 10, 2026: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
October 13, 2026: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
October 14, 2026: 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
October 15, 2026: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
